A man of many talents. He has been riding bikes since the 80’s… before he was born he likes to think. Being President of BC Unlimited Mountain Adventures Ltd. has given him tons of experience and appreciation for what he does. When the mountain bike tourism market began to grow in the early 2000’s, Chuck began to look at options. The catalyst of this growth came from the new age riders such as Brett Tippie, Wade Simmons and Ritchie Schley. They all started the freeride movement in Kamloops so there were many riders looking for the chance to ride on the same trails that were being highlighted in films. Chuck saw the opportunity and formed KBC.
Chuck’s love for the sport and his vision for the future of mountain biking in Kamloops has been the backbone of KBC. He is a NCCP Level 1 Coach and always knows how to encourage and challenge each rider that comes under his wings. Chuck loves the days when riding is all he has to do. His constant chatter and jokes makes for a day of laughter and non-stop smiles. Chuck believes that Kamloops and area is home to some of the best riding in the world, and many will agree. He is always ready for anything you throw his way; any type of trail, any type of day, and any type of rider. Come ride your bike with KBC. Is there any better way to spend your time? Chuck doesn’t think so.
Some say he drinks chain oil before every ride, and that his bones are made of Carbon Fiber, all we know is… He’s called Goose. There is only one GOAT and that’s not Devin its Ricky Carmichael, but Devin is almost the Greatest Of All Time, A legend in his own mind. BMX is his passion and his favorite but Downhill and Cross Country is how he makes a living, so you know he’s quick. He is also one of the smoothest, most talented guides KBC has, you would have to take his bike away to wipe the smile off his face, and while he’s around you will be hard pressed to wipe the smile off your own face. Buckets of Fun and a riding style to back it up that’s Kanip Knop, our man Devin Knopf.
Also known as the man, the myth, the legend, and a rugged mofo. At age 27, Ryan has been riding (seriously) for 6 years. He mostly enjoys freeride trails and dirt jumps, he will ride XC if he has to but mostly that is only done to get to work and back. Ryan originally being from Kingston Ontario, moved to Kamloops about 4 years ago specifically for the mountain biking and hasn’t looked back since. Ryan likes building / maintaining trails and stunts just about as much as he like riding them. He loves life and working at a local bike shop.
